Happy Diwali & Happy Hump Day

Deepavali or Diwali, popularly known as the "festival of lights," is a Festival celebrated between mid-October and mid-November for different reasons. For Hindus, Diwali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities together in their homes. However, in recent times it is an occasion that is celebrated by Indians of all religions living in India and abroad. The day also has significance for other religions in India.
{thanks wiki}
I learned something about culture today.
I work with a lot of Indians and they shared their pretty outfits and delightful sweets with everyone.
(I can’t lie…. Their sweets aren’t cut out for my belly… NOT AT ALL)

Happy Hump day too!

This Weekend…

-I shopped til I dropped.
-Spent Quality Time with my Mother.
-Got some reading done.
-Saw the colorful mountain leaves.
-Ate some good food.
-Realized my new found love for antiques.
….Overall amazing weekend.

But I am now ready for this week to begin and to get some rest in before another crazy weekend!

61 days til Christmas; 31 days til Thanksgiving; and a little over 3 days til I get to see my lovely BF.

cold house

When I was little I had a book of poems and still to this day I can remember my favorite one….
“There once was a house, a cold, cold house.
A cold, cold house by the sea.
If I were a mouse in that cold, cold house.
What a cold, cold mouse I would be.”

This morning I woke up a cold mouse.
And it’s only going to get worse this weekend.
Off to the Mountains for my mom’s Birthday weekend full of shopping and seeing the leaves change!

Its's Friday.
