-When you get to the elevator right when it shuts in your face and everyone on it just looks at you, NOT reopening it. (yes, this has happened a lot today)
-The signage in Greensboro, mainly on highway 73. Retards came up with it.
-Officemates who have their messenger beep on LOUD. No one needs to be chatting that much at work for that to drive me nuts or here's an idea, turn it on low.
-Vendors who call me 10 times in one hour. Get a hint, I'm ignoring you.
-I left my coffee cup at home. No morning coffee.
-Meetings that go worse than chapter meetings in my college sorority.
-last and certainly not less.... boys.
But today can only go up... the sun is shining bright and I have a playdate with BFF this evening... I will be bring my wine!!
Today's 74 degrees weather has me ready for spring, which is only 26 days away. Everything is always brighter when there are flowers blooming. Another perk is that we gain an hour of sunlight in 16 days.
But today I am going to be thankful for it being Thursday and more importantly tomorrow is Friday.
Simple but truthful text I received:
Another day, Another dollar- Mrs. B 5:37pm
Now, off to run while there is great weather and sunlight.
I ran into Jimmy Johns to grab lunch and this caught my eye….
(I know its small, so here you go)
16 THINGS THAT IT TOOK ME OVER 50 YEARS TO LEARN
By Dave Barry (On the event of his 50th birthday)
1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be "meetings."
3. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
4. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.
5. You should not confuse your career with your life.
6. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. (This one is very important)
7. Never lick a steak knife.
8. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip.
9. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight savings time.
10. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.
11. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age 11.
12. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above average drivers.
13. A person, who is nice to you, but rude to a waiter, is not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)
14. Your friends love you anyway.
15. Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.
16. Thought for the day: Men are like fine wine... They start out as grapes; and it's up to the women to stomp the crap out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
Last year I did a “Year in review” blog and listed everything that happened in my life when I was 23 and this year I wanted to do the same.As I was making a rough draft and trying to list stuff that stuck out in my mind, I realized this past year was less exciting than the one before. No house buying, no new job, no crazy love stories… nothing. But as unexciting as last year was, it made me very happy at the same time. That means I’m settled. When we are young there is always a rush to get to the next step in life, whether it’s graduating high school and going on to college or graduating college and getting married, ect.At some point you have to take a chill year, like my 24th and know that not every year is going to be eventless so be grateful for what’s given to you.
With all that being said I will start my not so exciting Year in Review 2:
Year 24!
This is my last few days being 24 years old and as bad as I don’t want to turn 25, I guess I have to.
So, I ask myself what has this past year brought me….
-The best Surprise 24th birthday I could ever ask for.
-An amazing job that I continue to learn at.
-A house that is my own, that I have settled very nicely into.
-Maid of Honor in my best friend’s wedding/ (party of the century)
-Met her cousin at the wedding which turned into months of a two hour drive each weekend/some weekdays for one of us.
“Peace is the result of choosing to focus your mind on what is true and honorable and right. When you choose to do that, it is amazing how much peace will overtake your mind and heart.”
I turn 25 in 15 days and so with that being said I thought I would spend some time revamping my blog.I have grown up a lot from when I first started blogging so I thought I would have my title grow with me.
Farwell keepin up with kel!!
Welcome Black Pencil Skirts to White Wine.
Side note:
I never hardly eat breakfast much less go through a fast food window in the morning (mainly I’m always late for work). But this morning I woke up wanting some chickfla.
To my surprise they did their biscuits in Heart shapes.
