see ya january

As a farewell to January, here is my list of life’s little joys to come.
1. Its 49 days till spring.
2. Its 40 days until we gain an hour of sunlight and the days get longer.
3. I am currently googling different flowers that I want to plant this year. I’m thinking tulips lining my fence. (First purchase gardening gloves)
4. This past Sunday I filled my Bird feeder and yesterday afternoon it was empty, those little creatures are hungry.  This year I vow to feed my birds more often and not get so pissed off at the squirrels that go to extreme measures to dangle upside down to eat the entire bag of seed. (Or I invest in a BBgun)
5.  Also on Sunday, I thought to myself how nice it would be to have wind chimes for spring, so I am in the market for a set.
6.  There are 65 days until the first Grasshoppers game.  Although I haven’t attended one of these games in years, my office is in prime location for the day time game viewing.
7.    I am ready to open my sunroof with my seat warmer on.
8.  L’Oreal has a new Coral Lipstick that I am dying for.
9.  Bright spring colors = happiness.
10.  This is crunch time for getting back in the workout routine, which always makes a girl happier to get those endorphins pumping.

Dear Groundhog,
On Thursday when it is a chance of rain could you please not see your shadow and make this very mild winter over soon?
-Love always

Isn’t it still the weekend?

Friday Night, Band and dinner outside SR.

(Totally stole this pic from Bff.)

Saturday Night hopped down to the State Game.

A’ hell of a game, losing to VA my one point.
No matter what sport I go to (football/basketball) or what school (State/UNC/VT) or what age I am (25almost)….. I will always be amazed by the cheerleaders and that will be my favorite part. Once a Cheerleader always a Cheerleader.

Sunday was spent doing pre-spring cleaning to my closets.

Woulda been a lot easier if this little guy didn’t roll in the middle of all the clean clothes.

Cheers to Monday!

a little much needed r&r

Help me to understand why 4 day work weeks feel like they are 6 day work weeks?  Never fails, day off means bust butt to catch-up.  This weekend there are no alarm clocks, and no plans.  This means a Saturday morning with half a box of keurig pods of coffee, HLN and book reading time.  The only thing that would make that better is sitting outside with fresh spring flowers but that too will come with time.
Happy Relaxation.

And for me it’s not sometimes it’s all the time.

yes, i have had 2 pots of coffee today and its not monday

Fun weekend, Friday was breathtaking and Saturday decided to pop home for the night, sometimes getting away is exactly what is needed.  Off work for MLK day was amazing; slept in, shopped, got my nails did and hit the gym when there wasn’t a crowd.  Now it’s only a four day week.
Even though its suppose to rain this evening its actually quite nice outside right now and that got me to looking…..

Perfect

xoxo
I am not a runner.  I am not good at it and when I say I go to the gym I mean elliptical for an hour+, bike or stair stepper or even treadmill, but not running the entire time and a lot of the time a mix of all 3. I am a spin class girl, always will be. Well recently I have decided I want to make that a goal to be able to run without getting winded and tired and work on my distance.  So I have started last week running.

I welcome routine back in my life.

As amazing as almost 2 weeks off from work was, traveling from mountain to ocean to lake, I am ready to get back in the routine.

Four day week ahead. J
